Here is my first try at photoshop! I know it's a little rough, but I really like it. I made it for my signature banner on the MTG Salvation forums. Hope I get better - maybe I can join a studio and do sigs for people!

Commander Decks

I'm addicted to Commander (EDH). I'm also addicted to building decks. Every time I build a deck I'm already thinking about what to build next. This can't be just me, so I'm curious, how does everyone else deal with the enormous amount of possibilities?

Here are my decks:

Jhoira of the Gitu
Mayael the Anima
Sisters of the Stone Death (soon to be changed to possibly Savra, Queen of the Golgari)
Kaalia of the Vast

Weird how they are all girl generals. I didn't notice that until just now.

Anyway, I just finished my Jhoira deck last night, but haven't gotten to test it out yet. Hope it works, as I didn't have all the cards I really wanted. I've been running around on MTG Salvation forums all day obsessing over which cards I should cut or keep or buy.

What decks are you playing/building/thinking about?

Also, on a side note, I am looking for girls in the Denver area that play Magic! I know that my blog doesn't get out to many people.....(one follower)....but it sure would be nice to play with some girls every now and again.

Off to the forums some more to find better ideas.

I know I haven't posted in like 7 months, but I have been gaming a lot. Magic is still a major part of my everyday life, and I'd really like to get this blog off the ground (or out of the deep hole it is in...) I'm still really nervous to play with the big dogs (so to speak) but am working on it.

I am done for now, as this playmat says enough all on its own. :D

Magic the Gathering has taken over my brain!

So I haven't posted anything since February, but I actually forgot I had made this blog! I have since stopped playing D&D, started playing WoW a bit more (especially since Cataclysm), but just this week started playing Magic! I'm friggin addicted!

What with all the cards to buy, accessories to accessorize with, and games to win (okay, lose), I'm hooked! I'm usually not the strategy type, but something about figuring out how to best beat your opponent is intriguing!

My first deck is a Mono-white Angel/flying superiority deck. For all of you out there that play Magic or know what I'm talking about, it's a pretty fun deck! It can be rough playing against black and blue, who just murderate (yes it's a word in my dictionary) your creatures. But it's still fun! I can tweak and tweak and tweak until it's just right.

I also post my deck on forums to ask for help, and man to Magic players love to give advice! It's nice though, especially for someone brand new to the game. Some people are kind of mean to newbies, but I'm not a wuss so it's all good.

Also, all of a sudden I'm finding friends who play. I'm guessing they wanted to keep it a secret - it is one of the geekier things you can do. But I celebrate my geekiness! :D

Anyhoo, hopefully someone, somewhere, will find my blog again. Then we can talk about Magic! Or other games for that matter. I love em all! (Mostly... :) )
